Circular Encasements are purpose made permanent steel formwork, made from 3mm mild steel, are encasements are formed to a radius to provide 50mm concrete cover to columns. Isolation material is then fixed to enable complete debonding from the main body of the slab.

The circular shape reduces the risk of reentrant corner cracking often associated with column encasements. The use of permanent formwork enables both the filling of the encasement along with the main area of the slab to promote the casting of both the slab and infill at the same time achieving a greater uniformity of finished and tolerance.
